Learning for Justice

Founded by the Southern Poverty Law Center, this organization seeks to be a catalyst for racial justice in the South and beyond to advance the human rights of all people. On their website, you can find FREE resources including:

  • Social Justice Standards by grade level

  • Booklists

Zinn Education Project

This project “promotes and supports the teaching of people’s history in classrooms across the country.” On their website, you can find FREE resources including:

  • downloadable lessons and articles organized by topic/event and grade level that “emphasize the role of working people, women, people of color and organized social movements in shaping history”

  • a daily “This Day in History” post that highlights events and stories often left out of textbooks

  • the “If We Knew Our History” column that debunks myths often taught through mainstream curricula and offers alternative ideas for teaching the content

Indigenous Education: The National Centre for Collaboration

Better World Ed

This nonprofit organization creates and shares resources, including wordless videos that encourage people to “prioritize curiosity and understanding over judgment and bias”. For ages 2 and up. Access to most videos and resources can be purchased, but some free resources are available.
